The Regional Emergency Medical Services Authority — REMSA — is the exclusive ground emergency medical services provider for Washoe County, Nevada and we serve an 11-state western region with our air ambulance program. We are a private, non-profit, fully-integrated, pre-hospital healthcare provider.
We have accountability to the Washoe County District Board of Health and a volunteer board of directors comprised of healthcare and business leadership from across the region. REMSA’s response times consistently meet or beat the requirements and it is renowned nationally for its quality, performance and innovation.
Our Special Events team provides EMS services for more than 700 events per year, ranging from small gatherings to weeklong celebrations. This team is agile, flexible and offers specialized care and vehicles to match the needs of the event.

This course provides the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and manage the first 10 minutes of an adult ventricular fibrillation/ventricular tachycardia arrest.
This course covers core material including adult and pediatric CPR, foreign-body airway obstruction, and automated external defibrillation.
