REMSA Health Welcomes New Education Manager
The Regional Emergency Medical Service Authority (REMSA Health), northern Nevada’s nationally-recognized ground ambulance service and Care Flight, northern Nevada and northeastern California’s critical care and air ambulance transport service, is pleased to welcome A.C. Bowolick to its team. Bowolick will serve as Education Manager, overseeing the nonprofit organization’s Center for Integrated Health and Community Education. He began this role on July 1.
In his new role, Bowolick will oversee the delivery of state and federal curriculum for emergency and advanced emergency medical technicians (EMTs/AEMTs) and paramedics, as well as healthcare provider recertification classes and public education courses such as CPR.
“REMSA Health’s paramedic program, which prepares candidates for a career in emergency medical services, has one of the highest National Registry pass rates in the nation, a true testament to the value the program provides to the industry and the community,” said Bowolick. “Ultimately, this is what attracted me to the role with the company and I am eager to contribute to, and expand on, this success for the future of out-of-hospital health care.”
The national average for passing the paramedic exam on the first try is 73%, while 100% of the students who complete the paramedic program at REMSA Health pass on the first attempt. Additionally, the program has a 96% student retention and 90% of them find positive placement in their paramedic careers.
Prior to joining REMSA Health, Bowolick worked as a paramedic and special programs coordinator for Campbell County Health in Gillette, WY. He brings more than 14 years of instruction and education delivery experience to the organization, as well as 17 years of public safety experience. He has served as a paramedic and firefighter lieutenant and worked in several law enforcement capacities. In addition, he played a critical role in launching Campbell County Health’s Wildland Medical Program and was a member of their inaugural Tactical Emergency Medical Services (TEMS) team.
Bowolick earned his undergraduate degree and MBA from the University of Phoenix.
