Feb. 19, 2025 (RENO, Nev.) –Katelyn Roberts has been promoted to emergency medical services (EMS) manager at REMSA Health. She brings 13 years of EMS industry experience to her new role.
As EMS manager, Roberts will oversee 9-1-1 system operations, leading EMS supervisors and ground ambulance employees to ensure the efficient delivery of high-quality healthcare.
Roberts joined REMSA Health as a ground operations paramedic in 2022. Within her first year with the organization, she was promoted to a paramedic field training officer and EMS supervisor, a role in which she coordinated effective 9-1-1 response and led the training and development for new paramedics. She also served as a clinical development coordinator, designing comprehensive training programs for EMS professionals and developing policies and protocols to drive quality improvement and uphold industry best practices. Roberts has also participated in REMSA Health’s peer support program and is an advocate for employee wellness. Before joining the organization, she served as a paramedic battalion chief, paramedic captain, paramedic intern preceptor and emergency medical technician (EMT) for several first responder agencies located in rural and urban communities in California.

In 2018, Roberts received an Outstanding Service Award for her efforts in responding to both the Carr and Camp Fires in northern California. In 2020, she was honored with a Lifesaver Award for providing life-saving resuscitation for a patient who suffered a cardiac arrest after a horseback riding accident. Roberts earned her paramedic certification and an associate degree in paramedicine from the College of the Siskiyous.
