The Regional Emergency Medical Service Authority (REMSA Health), northern Nevada’s nationally-recognized ground ambulance service is proud to announce, Adam Heinz, REMSA Health’s Executive Director of Integrated Healthcare, has been appointed to the board of the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT). As the NREMT board member serving on behalf of the American Ambulance Association (AAA), Adam will represent the interests, standards and policies of that organization while collaborating with the NREMT to advance quality patient care and public protection. The NREMT board is comprised of some of the most prominent figures from all segments of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) community.
“Adam works tirelessly to advance the delivery of out-of-hospital healthcare,” said Dean Dow, President and CEO of REMSA Health. “The REMSA Health leadership team is thrilled that Adam was appointed to this role. He demonstrates exemplary leadership, dedication, and a willingness to undertake transformational projects – not just in our community, but in ways that impact EMS across the country.”
Heinz will serve a four-year term in this role, effective January 1, 2022. His selection for this role reinforces REMSA Health’s position as an innovator and thought-leader in the out-of-hospital healthcare industry.
“Our industry is at a precipice, and I am appreciative of the opportunity to contribute to shaping the future of EMS,” said Heinz. “I am extremely honored to serve as the representative of the American Ambulance Association.”
Additionally, in October of 2021, Heinz was selected by the AAA as a recipient of the “40 under 40” award. Heinz was selected for this recognition for his important contributions to shape and influence the future of AAA, REMSA Health, EMS, and out-of-hospital healthcare. Heinz represents the organization locally and nationally in a variety of roles.
Heinz currently oversees REMSA Health’s clinical division and the organization’s Center for Integrated and Community Health and is responsible for advancing mobile healthcare and clinical quality initiatives.
