Barry Duplantis, president and CEO for REMSA Health, has been elected as treasurer of the board of directors for the Academy of International Mobile Healthcare Integration (AIMHI). AIMHI leads the transformation of emergency medical services (EMS) through the development of high-performing systems, and setting the standards for clinical excellence, accountability, public education, research and economic efficiency.
“As a founding member of AIMHI, REMSA Health has been an ardent supporter of our mission to improve patient health through mobile healthcare integration,” said Rob Lawrence, president, AIMHI board of directors. “With Barry’s financial acumen and his experience leading a high-performance, high-value EMS system, the perspective and contributions he’ll bring in his role as treasurer will be meaningful to AIMHI and will help advance innovative mobile healthcare across the country.”
Duplantis has served in his current role since 2023; prior to that he held the position of chief financial officer. He has more than 30 years of financial management leadership experience from industries including engineering and manufacturing, electronic gaming manufacturing and consumable products. During his time with REMSA Health, Duplantis has brought financial stability to the organization through innovative strategies that have enhanced revenue and reduced costs.
AIMHI’s members include leading EMS systems that have championed improvements for patient care by emphasizing mobile healthcare integration. By joining out-of-hospital ambulance providers from across the U.S. and Canada, Duplantis’s role on the AIMHI board will further enhance REMSA Health’s service to the community.
“I am excited to serve in an executive officer role on the AIMHI board of directors,” said Duplantis. “I am passionate about working together, across the out-of-hospital profession, to raise the profile about the essential services provided by mobile healthcare.”
