The Regional Emergency Medical Services Authority (REMSA) is pleased to announce that Jenny Wilson, MD will join the organization as its newest medical director. In this role, Wilson will be directly responsible for medical oversight of the organization as well as providing direct medical leadership to the ground, clinical communications center and education departments. Wilson will represent REMSA in regional projects including PMAC, EMS Oversight and EMS Advisory Board.

Wilson has been practicing emergency medicine for more than 20 years and brings experience from some of the nation’s most well-known and highly regarded medical schools and hospitals. She attended Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine where she graduated in the top five percent of her class with Alpha Omega Alpha Honors. She earned her undergraduate degree in English Literature at Harvard College. Before moving out west, Wilson completed an internal medicine internship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and an emergency medicine residency at Albert Einstein School of Medicine in the Bronx, NY. She first worked as an attending at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, then moved to the west coast where she worked for Sutter Health. In 2002, she joined Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center and nine years later became the medical director for Reno Emergency Physicians Association, the hospital’s contracted emergency physician group. In addition to her professional contributions, she serves on the Western Physicians Alliance board of directors and the Board of Saint Mary’s. Wilson is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, in Advanced Trauma Life Support and in Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
Wilson will join REMSA’s medical leadership team which includes Col. (Ret.) Brad Lee, MD who provides medical direction to REMSA’s rural health initiatives and Jeremy Gonda, MD who provides medical direction to Care Flight, REMSA’s air ambulance program.
